Operations Manager

FULL TIME, PERMANENT, COMPETITIVE SALARY + COMPANY BONUS

We have an exciting vacancy for an Operations Manager to join our friendly, hard-working Management Team in Bristol. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and reliable individual with a good eye for detail and a flexible approach to their work. Previous Operations Management experience in a relevant industry is essential, although we are happy to train the right candidate. A good standard of numeracy & literacy is also key. You will need to be able to work under pressure and to deadlines, be able to work independently, have a positive attitude and show self-motivation, good communication skills and leadership qualities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operations, budgets, project delivery and strategy
  • Balance objectives and goals
  • Managing the Warehouse Manager, and Warehouse Team
  • Processing the paperwork for goods in and out, UK and International
  • Receiving and dispatching goods on the Sage 200 system
  • Stock Control and inventory checks
  • Liaising with our suppliers and our mills in Europe
  • Staff Management, coaching and performance management
  • Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met
  • Ensuring staff working on processes are happy and operating efficiently
  • Production and Planning, shifts and labour deployment
  • Monitor, analyse, and improve the production systems
  • Quality control
  • Manage the company fleet
  • Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Risk assessments
  • Supporting all functions of the business to work together effectively
  • Maintain operational policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Drive productivity, profitability, and customer service levels
