Continental Railway Oak
Rescued from century-old French railway carriages, these boards are regularised and sliced to reveal their inside face — timber that has spent a lifetime on Europe’s railways. The result is old-growth oak with a natural, varied colouration and the character only genuine reclaimed timber can offer. With a brushed, stripped-back finish, these oak boards balance history and authenticity with intentional craftsmanship, softening the ruggedness of the original material while preserving its defining features:
- Weathered grain patterns shaped by decades of use
- Dark knots and cracks
- Characterful organic variation
Engineered for stability and precision-machined with a tongue and groove profile, the planks are straightforward to fit and suitable for use with underfloor heating. They are ideal for Georgian and Victorian properties and any interior calling for a traditional well-worn aesthetic.
As a true reclaimed product, availability varies. Get in touch for current stock levels and project suitability.

Georgian
Sourced from demolished period houses, industrial buildings, and old railway carriage boards, this reclaimed timber is chosen for its unique characteristics. Each plank carries a story and showcases the old timber's natural colouration.
The Georgian Collection is made from the inside face of the timber, giving a traditional, stripped-back look. These pitch pine, douglas fir, oak and pine floors are all versatile choices for period property renovations, and can complement any interior.
The reclaimed wood forms the top layer of each board, over a base of birch plywood, which gives the board long-term stability and makes it suitable for underfloor heating. Slicing the timber this way makes the resource go further: more flooring from the same reclaimed material, a second life for historic timber, and less demand for newly harvested wood.
