Sawn Douglas Fir

Our Georgian Sawn Douglas Fir boards make a feature of the timber’s original band sawing, with unique ripples that work with its flowing grain to create an eye-catching textures. Ideal for creating a charming laid-back aesthetic that honours its material story.

Embrace the light natural tones of the raw timber or choose a whitewash finish to enhance them. These boards feature authentic nail marks and bolt holes from their past life.

Georgian

Inside Face | Traditional | Authentic

Sourced from demolished period houses, industrial buildings, and old railway carriage boards, this reclaimed timber is chosen for its unique characteristics. Each plank carries a story and showcases the old timber's natural colouration.

The Georgian Collection is made from the inside face of the timber, giving a traditional, stripped-back look. These pitch pine, douglas fir, oak and pine floors are all versatile choices for period property renovations, and can complement any interior.

The reclaimed wood forms the top layer of each board, over a base of birch plywood, which gives the board long-term stability and makes it suitable for underfloor heating. Slicing the timber this way makes the resource go further: more flooring from the same reclaimed material, a second life for historic timber, and less demand for newly harvested wood.
