When Tanya Bentley Interior Architecture took on this new build riverside property in Cornwall, the starting point was a stark, empty shell of a home with enormous potential. They chose our Linen oak planks for the ceiling of this open-plan living space. Installed overhead, the light engineered oak reflects and diffuses the natural light that pours in through the generous glazing.
The brief was to transform the space into a bright, modern, sustainably designed home with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The approach was organic: adding personality through carefully considered colours, textures, and materials that speak to the landscape beyond the walls. And the ceiling cladding was no exception — pairing the wood’s natural character with a fresh pale finish and the clean lines of contemporary architecture.
To ensure full compliance with fire safety requirements, the planks were treated with an Envirograf® intumescent coating, delivering discreet protection without compromising the aesthetic.
