Royal Yacht Squadron

Nestled in the heart of Castle Cowes on the Isle of Wight, the Royal Yacht Squadron stands as one of the most prestigious yacht clubs in the world. With over 200 years of rich history, it boasts a heritage steeped in maritime excellence and exclusivity.

In 2022/23, the Pavilion—a striking structure originally designed by Sir Thomas Croft to evoke the elegance of an orangery—underwent a thoughtful remodelling to honour its timeless charm. For this transformation, the Royal Yacht Squadron selected our Vintage Grey engineered oak planks, a choice that seamlessly bridges traditional sophistication with enduring style.

The gentle tones of Vintage Grey enhance the Pavilion’s light-filled interiors, creating a warm yet refined atmosphere that perfectly complements its architectural character. The delicate grain and subtle variations in hue bring depth and texture to the space, effortlessly balancing its historic allure with a fresh, contemporary touch.

This project highlights how our flooring can play a pivotal role in preserving the character of heritage spaces while elevating their appeal for modern use.
