Stonewood Design selected our Invisible Lacquered oak planks for the Story of Emily museum in St Ive. The museum celebrates the life of Cornish humanitarian Emily Hobhouse, and the project has been named RIBA South West & Wessex Building of the Year 2025.

J E Stacey installed the flooring, stairs, and cladding in the museum’s new staff housing. These 300mm-wide boards were an excellent choice for the property, complementing the beautiful materials displayed throughout the award-winning museum’s site. Our Sawn and Brushed Prime-grade planks add delightful textures and inviting natural tones to the interior.
The same planks were also used in areas of the grade II* listed Rectory, Blackthorn Grange, at the museum’s double-height entrance, as well as its beautifully designed café, where the wall cladding adds its intrinsic charm alongside the wonderful contemporary glazing.
