Thames Lido
Our reclaimed Victorian Douglas Fir planks were selected for the restoration of the historic Thames Lido — a painstaking renovation of the disused Grade-II listed King’s Meadow swimming pool in Reading, which dates back to 1902.
The use of sustainable natural materials was a key consideration for the project. These light-toned planks were the perfect choice, adding their gentle warmth and creating a calming connection to nature within the lido’s restaurant and function room.
