Your sample shows the colouration you can expect, but no swatch can capture the full character of a finished floor. Boards vary in tone and grain, and finishes take to each piece slightly differently, so some variation from the sample is normal.
This is exactly what sets real wood apart from laminate and other imitations — no two trees are alike, and no two batches are either. Wherever possible, we pre-finish to order using timber from a single batch to keep variation as consistent as we can, though it will never be identical.
We always recommend visiting our showroom to see our sample boards at a larger scale and appreciate the full tonal variety within each finish. Alternatively, a combination of our free samples and our project gallery should help you picture how your floor will look in your own space.
