Recognising the People Who Make a Difference

Every year we take a moment to step back from the day-to-day and celebrate the people who make Chaunceys what it is. This year’s Summer Social was a brilliant evening, and one that reminded us just how much great talent and genuine teamwork sits at the heart of this business.

The Employee of the Year Award is voted for by colleagues, which makes it all the more meaningful. The winners were announced just before our Summer Social on Friday 5th June, with everyone in high spirits. These awards are a reflection of the impact someone has had—not just on the work, but on the people around them.

This year’s winners were:

1st Place – Zee: praised for always being positive and helpful — the kind of person who lifts the mood of everyone around him and never hesitates to lend a hand, no matter what.

2nd Place – Dave: recognised as a tireless, dependable workhorse who stepped up through a challenging year, taking on extra responsibility and consistently going above and beyond (Wojciech accepted the award on Dave’s behalf as he was on holiday).

3rd Place – Tim: celebrated as a quietly impactful improver — detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and always looking for ways to make things work better for the business and its customers.

Congratulations to all three, who earned vouchers and extra holiday as a thank you for their efforts. The fact that so much appreciation was shared across the business says a lot about the culture we’ve built here: one where people genuinely notice and value the contributions of their colleagues.

Summer Celebrations: A Night to Remember

After the award announcements, we headed out to celebrate in style. The evening took us to Flight Club in Bristol for some competitive (but not too competitive) darts, followed by drinks and dancing at a cocktail bar. It was the perfect way to celebrate a successful year, to relax, and to enjoy each other’s company outside of work.

Why It Matters

Events like this aren’t just a chance to have fun (though that’s definitely a big part of it). They’re a reminder of why Chaunceys is such a great place to work.
