We’ve moved — farewell to the chapel!

Chaunceys has relocated to a new premises in St. Philips with an impressive new showroom and plenty of space for our expanding Operations and Finishing Teams.

The Old Chapel in St. Philips has been Chaunceys’ home since its humble beginnings over 30 years ago. With its dome-shaped chapel windows and old-fashioned rustic charm, many of us grew fond of the place we called our ‘work home’.

However, as the business continued to grow at a rapid pace, spreading across 4 different units with a 25-strong team, the company was literally bursting at the seams!

With little room to house our growing team and no space for future growth, directors decided last year that it was time to move out of our much loved chapel and find somewhere bigger.

Our new home, previously occupied by Collinson Tiles, is located just down the road in St. Philips Trade Park and covers 20,000 sq ft – almost twice the size of our old building.

“Whilst it may not have the character of the old chapel, it gives us some much needed additional space”, says Ian Tomlinson, Chaunceys’ Managing Director. “As well as bringing the whole team back together under one roof, we are excited to have a brand new showroom which is five times the size of the old premises.”

The showroom itself has been designed by longstanding client of ours and local architect firm Moon Design, with bespoke fitted kitchen and client areas featuring our full collection of samples. The showroom itself has been fitted out by our very own in-house Fitting Team, featuring some of Chaunceys’ finest bespoke products, including Reclaimed timber cladding, Shiplap sawn pine, Deep Smoked Herringbone, Versailles, and our extra-wide Tectonic® oak planks.

Ian continues, “This move represents an exciting time ahead for Chaunceys supporting our ambitious growth plans for the future. With our carefully designed spaces featuring a wide range of our products and finishes, along with plenty of comfortable client areas, the new showroom will be a fantastic space for architects and interior designers to welcome their clients and discuss the flooring requirements for their next project.”

Whilst work is still being completed in the new showroom, the sales team will continue to send samples to prospective clients and support them as much as possible in choosing their perfect flooring. 

The showroom is scheduled to be open for customer visits in early December, however an official launch event is planned for February. Further details will be announced nearer the time, so watch this space!
